About this role
Westlake Pipe & Fittings seeks an Electromechanical Technician to perform PLC work across manufacturing equipment. The position covers PLC installation, programming, troubleshooting, and repair, plus ongoing maintenance of plant electrical systems including motors, drives, and switchgear.
Key Responsibilities
- Write advanced A/B PLC logic program
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC circuits
- Design and assemble control circuits and cabinets with user interface
- Troubleshoot/program/specify motor drives and maintain switchgear
- Perform electrical and electronic diagnostics repair and installation and maintain CMMS (FIIX) work order records
Technical Overview
This role is centered on Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming and diagnostics within manufacturing. Responsibilities include writing advanced A/B PLC logic, designing control circuits and cabinets with user interface, troubleshooting PLC circuits, specifying and troubleshooting motor drives, maintaining switchgear, and managing maintenance records in CMMS (FIIX).
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced electromechanical technician who can handle end-to-end Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) tasks, from installation and programming to troubleshooting and repair. They are comfortable working with control circuits, motor drives, and plant switchgear, and they track maintenance/work orders in CMMS (FIIX).
