About this role
Westlake is hiring an Electromechanical Technician - Maintenance responsible for electrical diagnosis, repair, and preventative support of plant electrical systems and PLC-based equipment. The role includes PLC ladder logic programming, troubleshooting to the component level, and coordinating repair/maintenance activities as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical diagnosis and repair of plant systems
- PLC installation, programming, troubleshooting, service, and repair
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams, sketches, and schematics
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC circuits and electrical/electronic circuits to the component level
- Direct and coordinate repair, maintenance, and installation activities
Technical Overview
This role centers on electrical and PLC maintenance in a manufacturing plant. Responsibilities include Allen Bradle/PLC logic programming with ladder logic, troubleshooting and repairing PLC circuits, reading electrical drawings and schematics, and working with three phase 480V circuits and low-voltage systems using appropriate test equipment.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an electromechanical maintenance technician with hands-on experience performing electrical diagnosis and repair in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. They have strong PLC programming skills using ladder logic, including troubleshooting and repairing PLC circuits (Allen Bradley and A/B PLC logic) while reading schematics, using test equipment, and working with three phase 480V and low-voltage systems.
