About this role
Employee Relations Specialist supports the business through employee relations programs, compliance-related projects, and day-to-day HR policy application. The role assists with workplace investigations, conflict resolution, leave-related escalations, severance administration, and WARN Act compliance review.
Key Responsibilities
- Support execution of employee relations programs and initiatives
- Investigate employee relations issues and document findings
- Advise on protected leaves of absence (FMLA and ADA) and manage escalations
- Administer company severance program and review WARN Act compliance
- Answer day-to-day employee relations and HR compliance questions and support HR audits
Technical Overview
This is an HR compliance and employee relations role using tools and documentation processes such as the EthicsPoint hotline tool, employee handbook, and Form I-9s. It also involves tracking and reporting employee relations metrics, including turnover reasons and exit interview data, to support risk reduction and continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced HR professional focused on employee relations and compliance, able to run workplace investigations and coach employees and managers on HR policies. They have hands-on experience with protected leaves of absence (FMLA and ADA), severance administration, and WARN Act compliance, along with strong documentation and reporting skills.
