About this role

Engine Systems Verification Intern supporting PACCAR Global Powertrain; participate in engine test cases, instrument setup, and test procedure development at Mount Vernon.

Key Responsibilities

Attend team meetings and technical reviews
Execute engine test cases
Document test results
Support engine instrumentation setup and troubleshooting
Contribute to procedure improvements

Technical Overview

Hands-on testing and instrumentation in engine test cells; data collection and analysis; modeling via MATLAB/Simulink; exposure to OBD tech and Powertrain systems; collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate or graduate student in engineering with a foundation in mechanics and fluids; proficient in MATLAB/Simulink and MS Office; strong communication and hands-on testing/instrumentation exposure for Powertrain projects.

Must-Have Skills

Junior or senior pursuing Bachelor's degree (graduation 2026-2027) in Engineering or related STEMFoundational understanding of mechanics of materials and fluid dynamicsStrong proficiency with Microsoft OfficeExcellent verbal and written communication
