About this role
Engineer II for Marriott hotel engineering/maintenance work. The role handles guest repair requests, performs preventive maintenance, troubleshoots hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, and supports Engineering on Duty duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues
- Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning and lubrication
- Troubleshoot and perform basic repair for plumbing/electrical/equipment
- Use Lockout/Tagout and maintain safety compliance
- Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities including readings and rounds
Technical Overview
Hands-on maintenance across HVAC (air conditioning and refrigeration), electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, including basic PVC copper pipe repair with soldering. Uses engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance and energy management, and performs troubleshooting for MEP equipment.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced hotel maintenance engineer who can respond to guest repair requests and perform preventive maintenance with minimal supervision. They can handle HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing (MEP) troubleshooting, safely using Lockout/Tagout, and can manage Engineer on Duty responsibilities including rounds and readings.
