About this role
Support and manage mechanical and piping engineering projects under general supervision. Create and review technical design work and deliverables, perform design reviews, evaluate vendor proposals for compliance, and assist with technical issues during construction and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute mechanical and piping engineering design tasks (modeling, calculations, drawings, specifications)
- Develop and review technical documentation and reports
- Participate in project meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Conduct design reviews and evaluate vendor proposals for codes/standards compliance
- Use engineering software to model/simulate/analyze designs and support construction/commissioning issue resolution
Technical Overview
Role focuses on mechanical engineering design execution using modeling, calculations, drawings, and specifications, supported by engineering software for simulation and analysis. Deliverable scope includes Piping and Instrument Diagrams (PIDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), piping isometric and orthographic drawings, and engineering documentation used by project teams during construction and commissioning.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an Engineer II mechanical and piping professional with a Mechanical Engineering degree and 3+ years of related engineering experience (or a Master’s degree with 2+ years). They can independently support mechanical design tasks including modeling, calculations, and producing piping/mechanical deliverables like Piping and Instrument Diagrams (PIDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and piping isometrics/orthographic drawings. They also perform design reviews, evaluate vendor proposals for codes and standards compliance, and support technical issue resolution during construction and commissioning.
