About this role
As a Process Engineer I at Phillips 66’s Wood River Refinery, you provide process engineering expertise to improve safety, reliability, and profitability. You work cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, optimization, and technical services to implement and optimize process units and support troubleshooting, documentation, and turnarounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the implementation and optimization of industrial processes and equipment to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations
- Analyze data, specify process steps, and help develop engineering solutions that meet cost, quality, and regulatory standards
- Support technical troubleshooting and create engineering drawings
- Help draft and evaluate engineering standards and design test procedures
- Provide technical support for projects, maintenance, unit operations, major turnarounds, and startups
Technical Overview
The technical scope centers on implementing and optimizing industrial processes and equipment, analyzing operational data, and specifying process steps and engineering solutions. You will support troubleshooting, develop and validate engineering drawings and standards, and participate in process safety management with strong documentation discipline.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a Process Engineer with 1+ years of engineering experience in the Energy industry, ideally at a refinery. They have strong data analysis and process optimization skills, experience with technical troubleshooting, and can contribute to process safety management and engineering documentation. They are comfortable working in a high-safety industrial environment and can support turnarounds and startups.
