About this role
AECOM is seeking an Engineering Intern for its Cincinnati, OH office, expected to begin in September 2026. The internship is designed to build hands-on engineering skills through broad, well-rounded assignments under supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Build analytic and design skills
- Conduct engineering design under supervision
- Create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, and working drawings under supervision
- Collect and analyze data under supervision
- Use computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems
Technical Overview
The intern will perform engineering-related tasks such as working with engineering drawings, collecting and analyzing data under supervision, and using computer software to solve basic engineering problems. Tooling exposure includes AutoCAD and MicroStation, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a current civil engineering student who has completed at least one year of study and is eligible to begin an internship in September 2026. They should be comfortable with basic engineering drawings and tools like AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, and they must have U.S. citizenship and a valid U.S. Driver's License for potential project site visits. Strong communication and basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite are expected.
