About this role

Actian is offering a 12-week Summer Internship for an Engineering Intern, Streaming Observability to build observability for streaming data using Kafka and Apache Beam, with AI-assisted development.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Build: Develop the logic to intercept and observe streaming data metrics as it passes through Kafka I/O transforms
Work with Modern Tech: Use Apache Beam to create portable data processing pipelines
Integrate: Hook observations into the Integration Manager dashboard
Test & Validate: Ensure monitoring maintains high throughput while gathering insights
Documentation: Prepare robust technical documentation

Technical Overview

Work with streaming data through Kafka I/O and Apache Beam to build portable data processing pipelines. Use Java or Python, integrate with Integration Manager dashboard, and apply Claude with the GSD framework to accelerate POC development.
