About this role
Engineering IV Technician in a CommScope lab tests copper cabling and connectivity to confirm conformity to product requirements. Responsibilities include data collection and analysis, reporting, following lab schedules, and collaborating with test engineers and technicians to ensure quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests of copper cabling and connectivity
- Collect, record, analyze and report test data
- Follow testing schedule and update status in the lab request system
- Utilize test equipment software to acquire data
- Review and approve test plans and reports
Technical Overview
Performs electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests on copper cabling; uses Excel/Word to analyze and report data; employs lab test equipment software and lab systems; knowledge of copper cabling and fiber optics; adheres to lab quality management standards.
