About this role
Morgan Stanley is seeking a Vice President to support the NFR Chief Operating Office (COO) within the Non-Financial Risk organization. The role owns budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, monthly performance reporting, vendor strategy execution, and executive decision support through presentations and business cases.
Key Responsibilities
- maintain financial health with annual budget and forecasts
- lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- oversee monthly financial performance reporting (budget vs. actuals, estimates, technology expense targets)
- execute vendor strategy (bid process, task orders, consultant onboarding, tracking)
- create executive-level presentations and business cases while driving automation and reporting frameworks
Technical Overview
This role is primarily operational finance and governance for the NFR organization: annual budget/forecasts, monthly budget vs actuals reporting, technology expense target tracking, vendor engagement management, and building reporting frameworks for granular budget accountability. It also emphasizes automation, standardization, and improving data quality for cost transparency reporting.

The ideal candidate is a Vice President-level operations and finance leader supporting the Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Chief Operating Office (COO). They have strong budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial performance reporting experience (budget vs. actuals, estimates, technology expense targets) and are comfortable leading vendor strategy and hiring pipeline processes while producing executive-level presentations and business cases.
