Life Cycle Geo is hiring an entry-level geochemist to support client projects across the full life cycle, from proposal writing and data collection to analysis and final deliverables. The role emphasizes geoscience data processing, modeling, and increasing capability in machine learning and artificial intelligence within natural resource consulting.

  • Processing and managing data for analysis, modeling, and presentation
  • Writing scripts in Python and/or R to automate tasks
  • Supporting proposal writing and data collection
  • Using ArcGIS or QGIS for geospatial components
  • Contributing to predictive mechanistic and data-driven models

Work focuses on geochemistry/geosciences workflows using Python and/or R, with geospatial work in ArcGIS or QGIS. The role also involves data processing for modeling and presentations and may extend to predictive mechanistic and data-driven modeling approaches and geoscience AI/ML initiatives.

The ideal candidate is an entry-level geosciences professional with a degree in Earth Sciences (Geology/Geochemistry) or Geostatistics and strong coursework in geochemistry, geology, mineralogy, hydrogeology, GIS, and data sciences/statistics. They can script in Python and/or R, use ArcGIS or QGIS for geospatial work, and communicate clearly through publications or presentations while managing data for analysis and modeling.
