About this role
This role estimates the siding and cladding materials needed for commercial and multi-family projects using engineered plans. The estimator produces timely, accurate proposals and supports bids through customer communication and ongoing follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
- produce accurate and timely estimates
- review plans and specs for accuracy
- create well written detailed proposals with inclusions/exclusions
- communicate with customers during bids and send RFIs as needed
- maintain up to date bid information in CRM pipeline software
Technical Overview
The estimator relies on On Screen Takeoff (ost), Quick Bid, and Microsoft Office to create takeoffs, estimates, and bid proposals. The work includes reviewing plans/specs, interpreting building codes, managing bid schedule inputs, and tracking bid information in the CRM pipeline software.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience estimating for commercial and/or multi-family construction, with strong knowledge of reading blueprints and interpreting building codes. They are proficient with On Screen Takeoff (ost) and Quick Bid and can produce accurate, detailed proposals while managing bid schedules and deadlines.
