About this role

EverCommerce is seeking a Senior/Head of Engineering for Payments to lead a high-volume, multi-product payments division, owning architecture, compliance, security, and cross-functional execution.

Key Responsibilities

Lead engineering org of 25–50+ people
Own payments gateway architecture and scale
Drive PCI DSS and SOC 2 Type II audits
Partner with product, operations, and compliance
Oversee CI/CD, observability, and incident response

Technical Overview

Hands-on payments engineering with gateway architecture and extensive vendor integrations; cloud-native, secure, auditable systems with PCI DSS/SOC 2 Type II oversight.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior engineering leader with 10+ years of software engineering experience and 4–6 years in director-level leadership, who has hands-on payments domain knowledge (gateway infrastructure, PCI DSS), and can align product, operations, and compliance for a multi-product SaaS payments business.

Must-Have Skills
