Maintenance Technician maintains, repairs, and installs equipment, machinery, and facilities under direct supervision. The role includes scheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and keeping organized records while following safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance assigned by a supervisor
- Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery
- Follow OSHA safety requirements and lock-out/tag-out procedures
- Troubleshoot issues using tools and general technical knowledge
- Read and understand basic machine schematics and organize parts/materials
Technical Overview
This role is focused on industrial mechanical maintenance and repairs in a manufacturing environment. The technician will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and use measuring instruments (digital/dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, levels, angle and depth gages) along with shop equipment (hydraulic equipment, pneumatic equipment, presses, cordless drills, clamps).
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level Fabricator/Mechanic or Maintenance Technician profile who can perform scheduled preventative maintenance and keep mechanical equipment operating safely in a manufacturing environment. They will follow OSHA requirements and lock-out/tag-out procedures and have strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to read basic machine schematics.
Must-Have Skills
