Lutheran Services Florida is hiring a part-time Family Support Specialist (7686) in Largo, FL on-site. The role provides direct care support by assisting a Case Management Organization with transportation, supervised visitation, foster parent support, and related documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport clients and children to placements, supervised visits, and appointments
- Maintain weekly Transportation Request form and track mileage
- Conduct placement follow-up contacts and quarterly foster home visits
- Prepare required reports and other documentation
- Participate in community outreach, trainings, and supervision sessions
Technical Overview
This is a field and community-based direct care role with operational responsibilities (transport coordination, foster home follow-ups, and report writing). Tools are primarily agency vehicles, a cell phone on an on-call rotation, and transportation request/report documentation workflows.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a direct-care, part-time Family Support Specialist with 1-3 years of experience in community service agencies (preferred). They have strong communication skills, reliable transportation driving ability, and experience supporting foster homes through transportation, supervised visits, and placement follow-up, along with Certified First Aid/CPR and crisis intervention readiness.
