About this role
Remote fiber optic analyst responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting, and verifying ISP/OSP fiber test results, interpreting fiber network designs and GIS data, and maintaining documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Analysis: Interpret fiber optic network designs, blueprints, and GIS Data
- Data Analysis: Analyzing fiber test results with EXFO FastReporter3 to include OTDR/OLTS/CD/PMD data
- Troubleshooting: Identify Out-Of-Spec fibers and report issues back to the field with solutions to the problem
- Documentation: Maintain records for fiber issues, fiber completion dates, and final acceptance letters
- Project Coordination: Manage project schedules for fiber delivery and validate data handover packages
Technical Overview
Advanced fiber optic knowledge with splicing techniques and proficiency in EXFO tools to analyze OTDR/OLTS/CD/PMD data; strong data interpretation and remote collaboration.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-career telecom/fiber optic analyst with deep EXFO tool experience and strong data interpretation skills. They must be able to work independently in a remote setting, collaborate with field technicians, and manage data handover packages.
