About this role

Field Service Engineer will provide complex customer support through installation, modification, repair, and preventive maintenance of Brooks equipment and systems. The role troubleshoots complex malfunctions, implements corrective actions, participates in customer operational/status meetings, and maintains required service documentation and certification expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Perform installation, modification, repair, testing, upgrade, preventive diagnosis, and maintenance on software and hardware
Isolate complex equipment malfunctions and implement corrective action
Interface with customers to ensure satisfaction and participate in operational/status meetings
Maintain safe and clean working environment by following Brooks and customer protocols
Attain Equipment Service and Operation Certification and submit Service and Status Reports

Technical Overview

This is a hands-on field engineering position centered on maintaining and troubleshooting automation equipment for semiconductor/life sciences lab customers. The scope includes preventive diagnosis, testing/upgrade work, and maintenance of both software and hardware components, with structured reporting via Service and Status Reports.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a field service engineer with experience installing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on complex automation equipment supporting semiconductor or life sciences lab customers. They can troubleshoot complex equipment malfunctions with limited supervision, document work using Service and Status Reports, and step into Local/Shift/Site Lead responsibilities when needed.
