This Field Service Technician role performs installs, upgrades, and repairs for phone, internet, and video services in assigned neighborhoods. You will troubleshoot signal and picture issues, repair coax cable, ensure compliance with FCC and NESC standards, and train customers on equipment use.

  • Perform new connects, reconnects, disconnects, upgrades, downgrades and change-of-service
  • Install interior and exterior wiring and connect equipment
  • Troubleshoot picture/signal degradation from consumer device to tap and replace components
  • Test, maintain, splice, repair and replace coax cable using meters and analyzers
  • Apply FCC and NESC technical standards and report noncompliance

Responsibilities include coax cable testing/splicing/repair using signal level meters, volt-OHM meters, and spectrum analyzers. You will perform network troubleshooting with ping test, trace routes, and speed test, and verify system security by terminating unused ports and tagging/locking required components.

The ideal candidate is an onsite field technician with experience performing installs and service work for phone, internet, and video. They can troubleshoot from consumer device to tap, repair and replace coax cable and components, and apply FCC and NESC technical standards while providing strong customer service.
