WOW! is hiring a Field Service Technician to perform telecom service installations and repairs across assigned neighborhoods. The role focuses on troubleshooting signal/picture issues, maintaining coax cable connections, following FCC and NESC standards, and training customers on equipment use.

  • Perform new connects, reconnects, disconnects, upgrades, downgrades and change-of-service
  • Install interior and exterior wiring and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair components from tap to consumer device to restore signal and picture quality
  • Test and replace coax cable using signal level meters, volt-OHM meters, and spectrum analyzers
  • Apply FCC and NESC technical standards and report noncompliance

You will test, maintain, splice, repair, and replace coax cable using signal level meters, volt-OHM meters, and spectrum analyzers. Network troubleshooting includes ping test, trace routes, and speed test, along with system security checks like terminating unused ports and locking pedestals.

The ideal candidate is an onsite field technician capable of performing telecom service work—installs, reconnects, disconnects, and troubleshooting for phone, internet, and video. They have hands-on experience with coax cable testing and repair and can apply FCC and NESC standards while delivering strong customer service.
