About this role
The Financial Accountant (EMEA) owns day-to-day general accounting activities for multiple EMEA businesses and supports the preparation and checking of financial and regulatory reports. The role also supports month/quarter end processes, helps streamline accounting practices, and contributes insights to FP&A.
Key Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day general accounting processes (fixed assets, bank, expenses, payroll, intercompany and tax settlements)
- Support regulatory reporting team in rolling forward, preparing and checking financial and regulatory reports
- Ensure smooth and controlled month/quarter end process with relevant teams
- Streamline accounting processes for consistent and efficient accounting and reporting practices
- Support FP&A with insights and respond to internal/external queries on assigned work
Technical Overview
The position is centered on financial accounting operations including fixed assets, bank and expenses (including payroll), intercompany and tax settlements, and regulatory reporting. The workflow relies on Excel and Microsoft applications and may include PeopleSoft or comparable accounting systems.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant (ACCA or ACA) with about 3-5 years PQE experience, comfortable owning day-to-day general accounting tasks across EMEA. They can prepare and check financial and regulatory reports, manage month/quarter end processes, and streamline accounting workflows using strong Excel and Microsoft application skills.
