About this role
Provide budget and financial analysis support to a DoD customer, including budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and documented financial analysis projects. Ensure compliance with internal procedures and government regulations, and communicate findings through briefs, information papers, and presentations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and document complex financial analysis projects including budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and analysis
- Research financial and economic trends and develop short-term forecasts
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and government regulations
- Conduct and oversee audits
- Prepare briefs, information papers, and presentations using Microsoft Office
Technical Overview
Perform financial and economic trend research and develop short-term forecasts using government financial systems. Use Defense Enterprise Accounting and management System (DEAMS) or FM suite experience to support rate and budgeted issues, audits, and compliance, while preparing decision-ready reporting in Microsoft Office.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level to early-career financial analyst with a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience supporting government financial systems. They are strong in budgeting, auditing, and forecasting for federal financial management and can use Defense Enterprise Accounting and management System (DEAMS) and FM suite experience. They communicate results through briefs and presentations using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access) and can provide leadership to junior employees.
