About this role
Supervise the maintenance shop and lead technicians on the 2nd shift to complete preventive maintenance and fleet repairs. Plan and schedule repair work, perform inspections for quality and compliance, and oversee inventory control and parts purchasing within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direction to A, B and C level and lead technicians to ensure safe, efficient, timely repairs and maintenance;Monitor operational performance and efficiency and redirect activities appropriately;Perform inspections of outside repairs and conduct Quality Control Inspections to ensure compliance;Oversee repair diagnostics on complex matters and coach technicians including road testing vehicles;Oversee inventory control system and manage parts/equipment purchasing and expenses within budget
Technical Overview
Oversee complex fleet maintenance including diagnostic work and road testing, with advanced knowledge across engine, emission, transmission, brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Implement quality control inspections and ensure all work meets company safety/compliance requirements and federal/state regulations.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced fleet maintenance supervisor capable of leading a technician team on the 2nd shift and ensuring preventive maintenance and repairs are completed safely and efficiently. They bring advanced knowledge across engine, emission, transmission, brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems and can drive quality through inspections and compliance with federal and state regulations.
Must-Have Skills
