About this role
Supervise a fleet maintenance shop on the 2nd shift, managing technician teams for preventive maintenance and repairs. Plan and schedule work, enforce quality controls, and oversee inventory and equipment readiness while meeting safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direction to A, B and C level and lead technicians on 2nd shift
- Monitor operational performance and redirect activities
- Supervise maintenance shop operations including daily shop huddles and fleet walks
- Perform Quality Control Inspections and track issues to resolution
- Oversee repair diagnostics and road test vehicles when necessary
Technical Overview
Responsible for diagnosing and maintaining trucks and heavy duty equipment, with coverage across engines, emission systems, transmission, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Supports diagnostics and may road test vehicles, while performing Quality Control Inspections and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
