About this role

This position supervises a fleet maintenance shop, ensuring preventive maintenance and repairs are completed safely and on time. The supervisor leads technicians, oversees inspections and diagnostics, and ensures compliance with company safety standards and federal/state regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direction to technicians and lead technicians for safe and timely work
Monitor performance and redirect activities as needed
Supervise shop operations including daily shop huddles and fleet walks
Perform inspections and Quality Control Inspections with tracked issue resolution
Oversee diagnostics, road testing, and maintenance inventory control system

Technical Overview

The scope includes maintenance for diesel and alternate fuel trucks, containers, and heavy duty equipment. The supervisor provides oversight for engine, emission, transmission, brake, hydraulic, and electrical system knowledge, repair diagnostics, road testing, quality control inspections, and inventory control for parts and equipment.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior fleet maintenance supervisor with strong experience supervising technicians and running a maintenance shop for fleet preventive maintenance and repairs. They are detail-oriented and capable of leading quality control inspections, complex repair diagnostics, and maintaining inventory control while enforcing safety and federal/state compliance requirements.
