About this role
Supervise a fleet maintenance shop under a Maintenance Manager. Lead technicians to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trucks and heavy-duty equipment while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direction to A, B and C level and lead technicians
- Plan and schedule repair work to ensure safe and timely completion
- Conduct Quality Control Inspections and track issue resolution
- Oversee repair diagnostics and road test vehicles as needed
- Oversee inventory control and approve expenses within budget scope
Technical Overview
Responsible for maintenance diagnostics and quality control for complex vehicle issues, including engines, emission systems, transmissions, brakes, hydraulic and electrical systems. Also manages inventory control, parts availability, and coordinates repair work through scheduling, inspections, and road testing when necessary.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a fleet maintenance supervisor who has managed a maintenance shop and led a technician team performing preventive maintenance and repairs. They have strong diagnostic and quality control skills, deep knowledge of engine, emission, transmission, brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and a proven track record of enforcing safety and compliance with federal and state regulations.
