About this role
This role supervises a maintenance shop under a Maintenance Manager, leading technicians responsible for preventive maintenance and repairs for the fleet and related equipment. The supervisor plans and schedules work, performs diagnostics on complex issues, and ensures safety and regulatory compliance through inspections and quality control.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct A, B and C level and lead technicians to ensure safe, efficient, timely repairs
- Plan and schedule repair work to reduce lost productivity
- Conduct Quality Control Inspections and inspect outside repairs
- Oversee repair diagnostics and road test vehicles when needed
- Oversee inventory control system, parts levels, and approve expenses within scope
Technical Overview
The technical scope includes oversight of maintenance across engine, emission systems, transmission, brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems, as well as more complex repair diagnostics. The supervisor supports diagnostics and may road test vehicles, while managing inventory control and parts/budget considerations to keep maintenance operations running efficiently.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a maintenance supervisor with experience leading a technician team and ensuring preventive maintenance and repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and on time. They have strong diagnostic ability across engines, emission systems, transmission, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems, along with hands-on experience in quality control inspections and inventory/parts oversight.
