About this role
Supervise a maintenance shop under a Maintenance Manager, leading technicians who perform preventive maintenance and repairs for a fleet and post-collection facility support equipment. Plan and schedule repair work, ensure quality through inspections, and maintain compliance with safety standards and federal/state regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direction to A, B and C level and lead technicians to ensure safe, efficient, timely repairs and maintenance;Monitor operational performance and efficiency and redirect activities as needed;Conduct inspections of outside repairs and perform Quality Control Inspections to ensure compliance;Oversee repair diagnostics and coach on complex matters including road testing vehicles;Oversee inventory control system and maintenance shop purchasing/expense approvals within budget
Technical Overview
Manage complex fleet repair and maintenance including diagnostics and road testing, with advanced knowledge across engine, emission, transmission, brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Implement quality control inspections and oversee inventory control processes for parts and equipment.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced fleet maintenance leader who can supervise a technician team and ensure preventive maintenance and repairs are completed safely and on time. They have strong diagnostic capability across engine, emission, transmission, brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and experience with quality control inspections and compliance with federal and state regulations.
