About this role
This role manages flow and maintenance of vehicles and inventory on the CarMax lot. It includes vehicle receiving and shipping, inventory scanning, lot cleanliness using CarMax 5S standards, and running the Photo Station process with uploads to carmax.com.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily lot maintenance and security of display areas; Perform vehicle receiving/shipping and scan vehicles for accurate product status; Run wash and vacuum processes and front-lot wash for customer returns and loaners; Take and upload photos to carmax.com via the Photo Station process; Prep vehicle and title packets for shipping and drive vehicles on/off lot for repairs/storage
Technical Overview
The technical scope centers on operational inventory accuracy: scanning vehicles to ensure correct product status, preparing title packets, and recording/transcribing data. It also includes compliance with O.S.H.A. and EPA standards using Personal Protective Equipment, plus training completion via Workday Learnings.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level CarMax inventory professional who can execute standardized lot and inventory processes with strong accuracy. They hold a current driver's license meeting CarMax DSEPS standards, can read and transcribe data for accurate records, and are comfortable working outdoors while following OSHA/EPA and CarMax 5S cleanliness standards.
