About this role
This role supports CarMax vehicle inventory and lot flow by executing standardized processes for receiving, moving, and shipping vehicles. The associate scans vehicles for accurate status, performs cleaning and reconditioning tasks, completes the Photo Station process with photo uploads to carmax.com, and provides exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities

- Maintain daily lot maintenance and security
- Secure and receive shipped vehicles; prep vehicle and title packets
- Scan vehicles to ensure accurate product status
- Perform wash/vacuums and Photo Station process
Technical Overview
The technical scope is operational system usage and process compliance: inventory scanning for accurate product status and completion of Inventory Associate Workstation Certifications and assigned Workday Learnings. It also includes following O.S.H.A. and EPA compliance requirements and using PPE and proper waste disposal practices.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level operations associate who can follow standardized work to scan and update vehicle inventory accurately while maintaining lot maintenance, cleanliness, and security. They have a valid driver's license that meets CarMax DSEPS standards and can work outdoors in varying weather while providing strong customer service.
