About this role
The Forklift Operator works with the Plant Shipping Supervisor to support the packaging, handling, and shipment of quality products. The role focuses on safe forklift operation, efficient material transport, clear shift-to-shift communication, and coordination with warehousing and scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain forklifts safely
- Transport product and equipment throughout the facility focusing on safety, quality, productivity and spoilage
- Communicate equipment, production schedule, and production problem updates between departments and shifts
- Work with warehousing, scheduling, process supplying, and product shipments
- Support the Plant Shipping Supervisor to meet shipping and handling needs
