About this role
Founding VP of Sales to lead enterprise outbound sales and go-to-market for Buildfunctions' AI infrastructure platform. Equity-based with potential salary after fundraising; role focuses on landing mid-market and enterprise customers through deeply technical, outbound-driven sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and own an enterprise outbound end-to-end
- Lead discovery-driven sales cycles with engineering leaders, security teams, and executives
- Articulate the value of securely running untrusted, LLM-generated actions in production through sandboxed, isolated execution environments
- Drive customer engagements from initial outreach through technical validation and production rollout
- Apply a programming background to understand customer architectures, validate use cases, and automate internal sales processes
Technical Overview
Role requires strong technical literacy to read and discuss architectures, engage engineering-led buyers, and articulate value of AI agent serverless environments; operates in an equity-backed, early-stage startup context with a deep focus on outbound GTM.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a proven executive in enterprise outbound sales with a track record closing technical products for mid-market/enterprise customers, comfortable in an early-stage startup, and able to drive outbound GTM for an SDK-first AI infrastructure platform. They bring fundraising experience, a founder-like mindset, and a broad network in AI and cloud tooling.
