About this role
Lead Facility Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) and sanitation teams for a complex protein manufacturing environment. Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements across multiple products, species, and shift operations while driving continuous improvement and GFSI readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and validate FSQA and sanitation programs including HACCP, SSOP, SPS, GMP, and QMS
- Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements across processes and products
- Coordinate, implement and maintain Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and other audit standards
- Lead training and technical expertise across FSQA, sanitation, manufacturing, maintenance, procurement, product development and sales
- Drive continuous improvement through FSQA programs, root cause analysis, corrective/preventative measures, and audit management
Technical Overview
This role manages food safety systems including HACCP, SSOP, SPS, GMP, QMS, allergen controls, Food Defense, and traceability/recall. It requires ownership of FSQA/sanitation program validation, training, root-cause and corrective/preventative action effectiveness, and internal/third-party GFSI audit performance across multiple operational categories.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior FSQA leader with hands-on experience managing plant food safety and sanitation programs in a complex manufacturing environment. They have deep knowledge of HACCP, SSOP, SPS, GMP, QMS, allergen controls, Food Defense, and product traceability/recall, and they can drive GFSI and other audit readiness across multiple shifts and product categories.
