About this role

Full Stack Engineer – Associate will contribute to building scalable frontend and backend software for Morgan Stanley's EquityZen sales tooling, using React, GraphQL, Python, Django, and PostgreSQL within an AWS environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and Develop across the Stack: You'll learn to build and maintain responsive front-end features using React and Apollo GraphQL, and grow your skills in robust, scalable back-end solutions with Python, Django, and PostgreSQL in an AWS infrastructure
  • Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with product teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver client-centric features
  • Focus on Performance and Scalability: Analyze and improve performance and scalability of platform, algorithms, and data structures
  • Learn and Apply Best Practices: Be mentored on coding practices, testing methodologies, and deployment strategies
  • Improve Code Through Reviews: Participate in code reviews to improve code quality

Technical Overview

Stack includes React on the frontend and Python/Django on the backend, with GraphQL APIs and PostgreSQL. AWS is the cloud platform, with emphasis on scalable service-oriented architecture and microservices with tests and CI/CD.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a mid-level full-stack engineer with up to 3 years of professional experience, comfortable working with React, GraphQL, Python, Django, and AWS. They should be capable of delivering scalable, well-tested software in a fintech context and collaborating with cross-functional partners.
