About this role

Fundamental Trading Analyst supports MPC's NGLs commercial organization by delivering market analytics for NGLs and specialty products, building supply-demand models, and translating signals into actionable trading insights.

Key Responsibilities

Build and manage NGLs and specialty products supply-demand models
Ensure accuracy across market databases and models
Monitor vessel movements and freight market shifts
Identify market risks and opportunities
Translate market dynamics into actionable strategies for trading, scheduling, and origination teams

Technical Overview

Role emphasizes end-to-end fundamental analysis with modeling and visualization using tools like Power BI and Tableau; requires data validation and collaboration with traders, schedulers, and origination teams; familiarity with AIS and market data feeds is preferred.

Ideal Candidate

An entry-to-mid level trading analytics professional with 0-3 years of experience, strong modeling and data visualization skills, and familiarity with NGLs and specialty products. Able to translate market signals into commercial insights with supervision.
