Future Talent Pipeline - Mechanical Technician

This Future Talent Pipeline position is for upcoming Phillips 66 Mechanical Technician opportunities in Midland, Texas. The role focuses on performing preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring safe, efficient operations.

• Perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance on production and facilities equipment
• Troubleshoot issues and repair mechanical failures
• Lead or perform compressor and engine overhauls including foundation work, initial alignment, testing, and startup
• Ensure maintenance and operations comply with company standards and regulatory guidelines
• Provide quality assurance and control over 3rd party contractors performing major maintenance

The position involves mechanical maintenance and repair work on engines and compressors, including overhaul activities and alignment/testing/startup. It also includes maintenance on air pollution control equipment, initiating maintenance work requests, and overseeing quality for 3rd party contractors performing major maintenance.

The ideal candidate is an entry-level or early-career Mechanical Technician with strong hands-on maintenance experience focused on preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance of production and facilities equipment. They can troubleshoot mechanical issues, support overhaul/repair work for compressors and engines, and maintain strict safety and compliance expectations, including completing required online assessments.
