About this role

Lead strategic data projects for Scale AI's Public Sector team, building scalable data pipelines and taxonomies to enable R&D and evaluation for government clients. Manage cross-functional work across operations, engineering, and customer engagement with potential Top Secret clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, build, and maintain data pipelines
  • Validate data quality with SMEs
  • Translate domain knowledge into scalable processes
  • Partner with customers to design data taxonomies
  • Own data strategy and cross-org collaboration

Technical Overview

Focus on end-to-end data infrastructure for LLM training/evaluation data, including data pipelines, taxonomy design, analytics, and ML operations, with exposure to RLHF and related post-training techniques.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in product development, data science, or operations, with a proven track record in managing complex, cross-functional data projects for the public sector and a strong data-driven decision mindset.
