About this role
Operate and lead GIS efforts for citywide GIS-related projects, including programming, database management, and creation of GIS deliverables. Provide training and support for GIS users and assist during emergency activations at the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

- Convert data between GIS and other formats and produce GIS products
- Use handheld GPS devices for data collection and support Emergency Operations Center (EOC) emergency activations
- Train GIS users and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
Technical Overview
Hands-on GIS programming, system configuration, and ongoing management of GIS databases (creating/editing data, quality control, and digital standards). Converts and transforms spatial data into deliverables including layers, shapefiles, custom maps, and web applications; uses handheld GPS devices for field data collection.
