About this role
D.R. Horton is seeking a Help Desk Specialist I to provide IT support for end users, cover phone, webchat, and in-person channels, and assist with basic hardware/software issues and office moves.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide phone, webchat, and in-person support to end users and external vendors on IT issues
- Document and track issues in the help desk tracking application
- Perform end user computer refreshes
- Complete work orders with detailed troubleshooting
- Assist with division office moves
Technical Overview
Entry-level IT support role focusing on Windows OS, Active Directory, Exchange, Print Services, and Microsoft Office; preferred experience with remote connectivity tools (VNC, Cisco AnyConnect) and basic hardware replacement.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level IT support professional with 2-4 years of hands-on end-user support experience, strong Windows/AD/Exchange knowledge, and a willingness to work on-call and overtime. They should be adept at communicating with users and external vendors, and capable of performing basic hardware and printer support.
