This role supports Naval Hospital Jacksonville by providing help desk technician services focused on troubleshooting printers, mobile devices, networks, and IP cameras. The technician will use trouble ticket systems and maintain accurate documentation and hardware records while meeting ongoing information assurance training and certification requirements.

  • Troubleshoot printers, printing/scanning devices, and networked MFDs including Xerox MFD
  • Use NHJ Trouble Ticket System or Remedy and maintain required documentation
  • Support Windows 2007 and Windows 10 environments including email, encryption, and device apps
  • Troubleshoot networks and cable connectivity using Fluke equipment and install/troubleshoot IP cameras
  • Perform VPN troubleshooting and use remote support tools (Dameware/Hyena) to support end users

The technician will operate in a Windows 2007 and Windows 10 support environment and troubleshoot network and cable connectivity with Fluke equipment. They will support secure communications and mobile device applications, perform VPN troubleshooting (Juniper Virtual Private Network (VPN)), use remote support tools (Dameware/Hyena), and handle IP camera installation and troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate is a Help Desk Technician with 4+ years of experience troubleshooting mobile computing devices and supporting users with Windows environments (Windows 2007 and Windows 10). They hold an active Security+ CE (enrolled in CEP) certification, have hands-on experience with VPN troubleshooting (including Juniper VPN), remote support tools (Dameware/Hyena), and network troubleshooting using Fluke equipment, plus experience installing/troubleshooting IP cameras.
