About this role
This role supports end-users by monitoring and maintaining computer systems and providing technical help. You will troubleshoot software, hardware, and basic network configuration issues, perform routine maintenance like backups and recovery, and use help desk software for remote assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the integrity of operating systems and computer systems
- Perform system backups, recovery procedures, and file management
- Install, test, and upgrade system software and hardware components
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software, hardware, and basic network configurations
- Create and maintain detailed documentation and train users on new technologies
Technical Overview
The technician will handle installation, testing, and upgrades of system software and hardware, along with operating system configuration and problem diagnosis. Work includes system backups, recovery procedures, documentation of troubleshooting processes, and resolving issues across software, hardware, and basic network configurations using help desk software with remote access.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level help desk technician who can provide timely troubleshooting and end-user support for PC, operating system, and basic network configuration issues. They are comfortable performing routine maintenance (backups and recovery procedures), installing and upgrading software and operating systems, and documenting troubleshooting steps while using help desk software for remote support.
