About this role
This role ensures safety standards are met while performing routine repairs and maintenance on electrical, control, and HVAC systems. The mechanic will troubleshoot equipment, replace parts, test for proper functioning, and support 24/7 control room and customer call center operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair equipment from trouble analysis through completion within defined skill limits.
- Tear down machinery, replace faulty parts, reassemble, and run tests to confirm performance.
- Analyze equipment problems and make repairs with or without direct supervision.
- Operate the Customer Call Center and control room on a 24/7 basis.
- Record emergency, project, and routine work when called into the Control Room.
Technical Overview
The position covers mechanical and systems maintenance for commercial HVAC (air distribution machinery, pneumatic/digital controls, hot and chilled water distribution, variable volume systems) plus operation and repair of electrical and electronic equipment and circuitry. It requires troubleshooting and validation via test runs, along with 24/7 operational control room responsibilities.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced mechanic with 5+ years repairing and maintaining commercial building systems, especially HVAC components and electrical/control systems. They can troubleshoot equipment, disassemble and replace parts, run tests to verify performance, and handle 24/7 control room and customer call center responsibilities.
