About this role

Remote HUD IT audit specialist supporting FISMA and federal compliance audits, coordinating with technical teams, and maintaining audit artifacts and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support up to six independent IT audits annually, including FISMA and financial system audits
  • Evaluate IT systems, controls, policies, and procedures for federal cybersecurity compliance
  • Collect, organize, and maintain audit artifacts
  • Track audit requests (PBCs) and respond timely
  • Develop and maintain POA&Ms to address audit findings

Technical Overview

Expertise in federal cybersecurity standards (NIST SP 800-53), FISMA, POA&M/NFR tracking, and audit tooling (ServiceNow, eCase). Remote work with public trust clearance.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior IT audit professional with 7+ years of experience, strong knowledge of FISMA and NIST SP 800-53, Public Trust clearance, and proven ability to coordinate audit evidence and remediation.

Must-Have Skills
