About this role
Remote Security Architect for HUD program to design and maintain enterprise and cloud security architectures, ensuring alignment with federal standards, leading reviews, and supporting Zero Trust and continuous monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise and cloud security architectures supporting SOC operations
- Architect security solutions across cloud (AWS GovCloud), on-prem, and hybrid environments
- Lead security architecture validation, ensuring alignment with NIST SP 800-53, NIST RMF, FISMA, OMB, and CISA directives
- Conduct architecture reviews, system design assessments, and security engineering evaluations
- Support Zero Trust architecture design, implementation, and maturity assessments
Technical Overview
Scope includes cloud (AWS GovCloud, Azure), on-prem and hybrid architectures; security controls, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and integration of SIEM/SOAR/EDR/IDS/IPS/DLP/IAM; governance with NIST/FISMA/RMF/FedRAMP directives.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior cybersecurity architect with 7+ years of experience in federal security design and engineering, proficient with NIST/FISMA/FedRAMP/RMF frameworks, and able to design cloud security architectures across AWS GovCloud and Azure. Strong leadership and ability to conduct architecture reviews and threat modeling is essential.
