About this role
The Facilities Engineer III role supports Harrah's Laughlin by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC and mechanical systems across the property. You will work with major equipment such as chillers, boilers, air handlers, and refrigeration systems while ensuring reliable operation and guest comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and mechanical systems across the property
- Work hands-on with chillers, boilers, air handlers, refrigeration units, exhaust systems, and related infrastructure
- Interpret HVAC schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues
- Apply problem-solving to keep operations running smoothly and guests comfortable
Technical Overview
This is a hands-on HVAC facilities engineering position focused on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, preventive and corrective HVAC work, and diagnostics. The role requires interpreting HVAC schematics and wiring diagrams and may include support for building automation systems (BAS) and energy-efficient HVAC operation.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an HVAC-focused facilities engineer with 3+ years of hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems in a commercial, industrial, or hospitality environment. They are strong with chillers, boilers, refrigeration systems, air handlers, pumps, motors, and ventilation, and they can interpret HVAC schematics and wiring diagrams. EPA Section 608 Certification is preferred, along with experience using building automation systems (BAS).
