About this role
This HVAC Technician role supports safe and efficient operation of chilled water systems and associated equipment on internal customer-owned machinery. The technician performs routine chemistry testing, responds to abnormalities, maintains logs in Plantlog, and assists with maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with safe operation and maintenance of chilled water and associated equipment
- Perform routine chilled water chemistry testing and efficiency adjustments
- Conduct plant tours and equipment inspections and provide feedback
- Maintain shift logs and administrative documentation in Plantlog
- Assist with plant switching/tagging and troubleshooting/maintenance tasks
Technical Overview
The role operates and supports chilled water and cooling equipment including AHUs (Air Houses) and cooling units. Responsibilities include routine chilled water chemistry testing and adjustments for efficiency, equipment inspections, and troubleshooting with adherence to SOPs and safety standards while documenting work via Plantlog.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an HVAC technician or O&M technician with hands-on experience operating chilled water systems and associated equipment (AHUs/Air Houses and cooling units). They accurately maintain shift logs (Plantlog), follow SOPs and safety procedures, and support troubleshooting and corrective actions during abnormal operating conditions.
