About this role
This remote role supports import clearance for US and Canada by processing customs entries during late evening hours. You’ll manage high-urgency shipments, handle CBP and PGA holds, coordinate required exams, and provide clear status updates to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customs entries accurately and compliantly
- Review customs data and resolve entry issues with customers and internal teams
- Handle high-urgency imports such as PAPS files to prevent delays
- Monitor and resolve CBP and PGA holds and coordinate exams (NII/VACIS, tailgate, intensive, USDA/CBP/FDA)
- Track ACE/ABI statuses and respond to FDA Notices of Action and CBP CF-28/CF-29 with clear customer updates
Technical Overview
You’ll work hands-on with customs documentation workflows including ACE DIS and Affirmations of Compliance, track ACE/ABI statuses, and respond to FDA Notices of Action and CBP CF-28/CF-29. The role requires strong compliance judgment across FDA and PGA standards and careful handling of NII/VACIS, tailgate, and intensive exam coordination.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a customs brokerage professional with 2+ years of experience managing customs entries and maintaining high accuracy in customs data. They’re comfortable working through time-sensitive holds and exams, coordinating with carriers and government parties, and using ACE-related processes (ACE DIS, ACE/ABI) to keep imports moving. They can clearly explain documentation requirements to customers and resolve issues proactively.
