This role is for an Industrial Electrician I at EES Coke Battery (a DTE Energy subsidiary) in River Rouge, MI. The electrician performs maintenance on operating and service equipment, operating in conjunction with repairs and coordinating with operating teams to maintain continuity of operations.

Technical Overview

Performs electrical maintenance activities using standard and specialized tools and may work with mobile equipment. Works rotating 12-hour shifts and participates in a structured Pay for Skill program with progression from Electrician I to Electrician III (A/B/C) after written and practical proficiency testing.

The ideal candidate is an entry-level electrician (Electrician I) who can perform maintenance on operating and service equipment using standard and specialized tools. They are comfortable working a 12-hour rotating shift, can work alone or with other Maintenance Technicians, and can coordinate with operating teams while following structured advancement steps (written and practical proficiency tests).
