About this role
The Industrial Engineer will develop and maintain wage incentive plans, time standards, and piecework rates to improve manufacturing productivity and cost efficiency. The role supports staffing and labor requirements analysis, conducts efficiency studies, and assists production with labor issues, grievances, and arbitration support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop time standard data and piecework rates; Determine factory staffing and labor requirement changes; Coordinate efficiency studies and justify capital expenditures; Conduct job analysis on positions; Support continuous improvement, OEE training, routings and updates
Technical Overview
This is a manufacturing engineering role focused on labor standards, time studies, ergonomics/motion evaluation, job analysis, staffing analysis, and operational excellence practices. The position also supports capacity/capability planning and OEE training, with familiarity preferred for MOST, Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, and SAP.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a Bachelor’s degree Engineer with experience in a manufacturing environment, supporting cost-effective production goals through labor standards and operational efficiency initiatives. They have hands-on experience with time studies, piecework rates, ergonomics/motion evaluation, staffing analysis, and job analysis, and can apply continuous improvement methods. Familiarity with MOST, Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, and SAP is strongly preferred.
