About this role
Remote Field Service Technician role providing installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for in-field equipment. The technician will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, interpret technical documentation, and provide phone-based technical assistance via an in-house Help Desk.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Provide effective technical assistance and repair/warranty support
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
- Read diagrams, schematics, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications
- Provide phone support and technical assistance via inhouse Help Desk
Technical Overview
Technical scope includes electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for sheet metal fabrication equipment. Work involves using hand/power tools, precision-measuring devices, and electronic/electrical test instruments while reading diagrams and schematics and performing preventive/predictive maintenance.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level or early-career Field Service Technician comfortable installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical/mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems, especially on sheet metal fabrication equipment. They can read schematics and manuals, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, provide phone support via an in-house Help Desk, and meet physical and travel requirements (including lifting 50 lbs and holding a US Passport).
